Hi,

My name is Ryrie. I’m 9 years old, and love architecture, Minecraft, cars hiking, mountain biking, running, playing with friends and family, and most of all having fun.

At first I was not at all excited about this journey. I didn’t know much about it or what we were going to do. But, when I finally got interested and happy enough about it all, it was already too late to turn back, so I figured I was committed.

I’m excited about going to all the different countries we’ll visit, seeing parts of Europe, South America, and Asia and Africa that I’ve never seen before, and being with my family the whole time. I’m also excited to do things that I might be scared to do, like eating new foods and being homeschooled.

I’m still nervous about being away from family, friends, and home for a whole year, and about having to make new friends in new places and in new languages. And I am most excitited about my family, especially Pema (as she says) the bedrock of the family.
